What is OVC TTAC's role in relation to OVC?
OVC TTAC coordinates training and technical assistance for the victim services field on behalf of the Office for
Victims of Crime.
What is the purpose of the OVC Training Schedule for Victim Service Providers?
The Training Schedule provides standardized training events in the area of professional skills building for
victim service providers and allied professionals. Training topics range from sexual assault and identity
theft to leadership skills, cultural competency, and program evaluation.
Who serves as trainer for the Training Schedule?
Trainers are either enrolled members of OVC TTAC's Consultant Network and/or OVC TTAC employees. All
trainers for Training Schedule workshops are individuals with subject matter expertise and/or individuals
who are experts in training delivery and adult learning.
How do I know if a particular training workshop is right for me?
OVC TTAC encourages you to read the workshop description and Learning Objectives to understand the scope of

Is registration limited?
Yes. OVC TTAC limits registration to approximately 30 people to ensure an interactive learning environment
that adheres to adult learning standards.
How do I register for a workshop(s)?
You can register in four ways:
- Online. To register and pay online, visit the
OVC Training Schedule page. Select a workshop(s) and provide a credit card for payment.
- Fax. To register by fax, please download a copy of the Training Schedule Registration Form, complete
all sections of the Form, and fax the Form to SEI at 240-485-1982.
- Mail. To register by mail, please download a copy of the Training Schedule Registration Form, complete
all sections of the Form, and mail it with payment to SEI, 8757 Georgia Avenue, Suite 450, Silver Spring,
MD, 20910.
- Phone. To register by phone, please call SEI at 240-485-1700, Ext. 197.
What happens after I register?
If you register online, you will receive an automatic confirmation of the acceptance of your payment. You will
then receive a detailed email from OVC TTAC within 24 hours with additional information about the workshop,
training site, and hotel room block. If you register by fax, mail, or phone, you will receive a detailed email
from OVC TTAC within 24 hours with more information about workshop, training site, and hotel room block.
I don't see the training site. Where exactly will the workshop be held?
All workshops will be held at hotels in host cities that are easily accessible by air and car and that have access
to amenities such as shopping and restaurants. Room blocks for Training Schedule workshops are available to
registered participants at the current Federal lodging rate for the host city. Once you have registered for a
workshop(s) and the hotel has confirmed that the room block is set up in the hotel reservation system, you will
receive an email with specific instructions on how to reserve a room in the designated room block.

Are scholarships available to attend OVC Training Schedule workshops?
Yes. OVC makes a limited number of scholarships available through its Professional Development Scholarship
Program. To review program criteria and see if you qualify, visit
the scholarship program page.
Can OVC TTAC accommodate participants with special needs?
Yes. OVC TTAC is committed to making all Training Schedule workshops accessible to those with special needs. OVC TTAC will make any reasonable accommodations for participants who need sign language interpreters, Braille materials, etc. Please note that since Training Schedule workshops are highly interactive, OVC TTAC requires 60-days notice in order to guarantee that needed accommodations can be secured and that training activities can be properly altered, if needed. In situations where less than 60-days notice can be provided, OVC TTAC will make every effort to accommodate special needs.
